Once we began our cnc unit we were instructed to create a maze and a brake bracket. After I completed my break bracket I would now focus on my maze, I began developing my own idea into the maze. Unlike the brake bracket we were able to make our own design which is what I did. The design did not take me long because of my previous knowledge of inventor, however I decided to create handles on my maze which was a slight challenge, but was still completed.
I would now upload my maze to Fusion 360 and set the stock, and tool paths for it to be cut out in the router. Once my tool paths were successfully set up, I was able to the the way that the maze would be cut out.
I then save on my flash drive with G code and plug my flash drive into the router. Once I get everything set up, I then start the process of making my maze.
Now that my maze is cut out I now use my previous Illustrator file to engrave my name into it using the laser. I am now left with my final product.
Something I learned from this unit was how to work the cnc router along with Fusion 360. The router itself is not very hard to work, for me it was fusion 360 which involved many steps in setting up the maze for the router. Although setting up my maze took long, that didn't stop me from learning how to work a machine that was new to me.
